With this project we want to promote the empowerment of women through participation in a cooperative regime for manufacturing soap, for general use, for bathing, and especially dermo-protective soaps for sanitary hygiene, and the subsequent commercialization of these products. Also a kitchen for the manufacture and marketing of jams made with native products.

It is a local, community and sustainable development project that promotes the empowerment of women through training and local entrepreneurship. The Social Services of the Boulmiougou City Council have been contacted to offer this work to 15-20 women, who are in a situation of vulnerability, focusing on women victims of gender violence, mothers with a high number of children (> 6 children), women with health problems and infectious diseases both their own and their children, unemployed women, women without academic training and women in poverty.

Thanks to the collaboration with the Col.legi d’Arquitectes de Catalunya (COAC) and the Fundació Lleida Solidaria (FLS), we currently have a group of 10 women working in the Cooperative, dedicated to the manufacture of liquid soap, solid soap and different types of crafts. By selling these products, these women obtain income that allows them to cover their basic needs.

Innovation is a necessary requirement for organizations and institutions to prosper and grow. Involving women more actively in the entire innovation process will lead to better results for our entity and society as a whole. This type of construction is also part of a project for the use of material and protection of the environment. It is a relatively cheap, fast and proven way of building that generates some notable advantages:

– Its cost is lower than a normal construction.

– We favor the environment because we recycle containers.

– They are resistant and safe

– They are much more harmless to the environment than traditional constructions, since they do not generate permanent alterations in the terrain. The rest of the construction, the walls, is done with BTC, Blocs de Terra comprimida. Emsimision owns a BTC manufacturing machine and therefore we are self-sufficient in obtaining BTC, while we have a team of 8 people trained in the manufacture of these blocks. All the buildings of the Global Training Medical Center project are built with this material.
